Who's Buying Now? Some Long-Term Investors Are Snapping Up Bonds
Higher rates are improving funding positions of pension plans and encouraging funds to buy bonds for liability matching.

Graphic shows that stocks gained and 10-year Treasury yields, which move opposite to prices, also climbed during the two rounds of the Federal Reserve's bond-buying program, a policy known as quantitative easing. Stocks may fall and Treasuries rally when the current round ends in June, according to Hans Goetti, Singapore-based chief investment officer for Asia at Finaport Investment Intelligence.
