Seven out of 10 wealthy investors approve of the job Alan Greenspan did as chairman of the Federal Reserve, but only half pay close attention to the board's action, according to the latest Citigroup Smith Barney Affluent Investor Poll. The survey also found that less than half of respondents have even heard of Greenspan's successor, Benjamin Bernanke, and of those who have heard of him, more than half admit they know little about him.
In other questions, the survey of investors with more than $100,000 in financial assets excluding real estate and retirement plans, more than half say they will take at least two vacation trips a year and at least 25% own vacation homes. Overall investors forecast financial growth this year, with 39% saying they expect to be better off, while 46% of those with more than $1 million in assets say they hope to see financial growth this year.
