Residential repayment mortgages rose to a record 77% of all home loans introduced in the U.K. market in the first quarter, according to Paragon. The firm’s financial adviser confidence tracking index (FACT) noted the increase—up from 71% in the fourth quarter—was the highest percentage since the launch of FACT in 1996. Interest-only loans dropped to 14%, the lowest percentage since the first quarter of 2004.
